Hailsi. Hailsi Translate
Privacy Policy · Rollspeak™

Rollspeak™ keeps your story on your phone.

Effective: 29 October 2026

This policy covers Rollspeak™, the role-playing game that Hailsi LLC ("Hailsi", "we", "us") makes for Android phones and offers on Google Play under the developer name Hailsi (the "Game"). Our Windows translation app and this website have their own Privacy Policy.

Questions about privacy go to support@hailsi.com. Our privacy lead is responsible for this policy and reads that address.

The Game is still being built. Some features described here (Community, publishing worlds and purchases) arrive in later versions, so a test version may not have them yet. This policy already covers them.

The short version

1. What stays on your phone

All of this happens on your phone and isn't sent to us, unless you choose to send something as described in section 2:

If you delete the Game, this is deleted with it. We can't recover it, because we never had it.

Age signals. Where Google Play offers it, the Game may ask Google Play for an age range (for example "under 18"), if the account holder or a parent has allowed Google to share it. We use it only on your phone: to turn on a spending cap by default, to keep offers out of the way for younger players, and to keep Community closed to players under 13. It isn't sent to us.

2. What leaves your phone, and when

When you install the Game and its downloads

What's sent
Your device's requests for the Game, its on-phone AI files and the art packs.

Who gets it
Google Play delivers these, not us. Google's privacy policy applies.

When you create a new world

What's sent
Requests for the character pictures that world uses. Like any download, this shows your device's IP address and the files asked for to the server that sends them. No account and no ID is attached.

Who gets it
Our file hosts, Cloudflare and, as a backup, Bunny, working for us.

Why
To deliver the pictures.

When you report a line the AI wrote (marked ✦ AI)

What's sent
The line, the scene it was written from, the name of the storyteller model, the world's ID and the Game's version, the reason you picked and any note you add. The screen shows exactly what will be sent before you send it. If the scene includes words you typed, they're shown too, and you can leave them out. These reports carry no account and no ID.

Who gets it
Hailsi.

Why
To fix the AI's mistakes, improve our filters, and meet Google Play's rules for AI features.

When you use "Report a problem"

What's sent
What went wrong, your note, and, only if you choose to include it, a diagnostic file: the Game's version, your phone's model and Android version, and a log of the last turn. Never what you typed.

Who gets it
Hailsi.

Why
To fix bugs, and to answer you if your note gives us a way to reach you (such as an email address).

When you turn on Diagnostics (Settings → Privacy; off unless you turn it on)

What's sent
A crash report when the Game crashes: the Game's version, your phone's model and Android version, and where in the Game's code the crash happened. Never what you typed or the story, and no account or ID. We collect crash reports ourselves, not through another company's tool.

Who gets it
Hailsi.

Why
To find and fix crashes.

When you join a test of the Game and turn on "Help improve typing" (off unless you turn it on)

What's sent
The lines you type and how the Game read them, with no account and no ID attached. Test versions may offer this switch, only to players 13 and over; it's never on by default.

Who gets it
Hailsi.

Why
To test and improve the reader, the small AI that reads what you type.

When you join Community (Sign in with Google)

What's sent
Google shares your account ID, email address and name with the Game when you sign in. We keep only the account ID; we don't store your email address or name. Then: the creator name and mark you choose, the worlds you like and play, the creators you block, and the reports you send about worlds or creators.

Who gets it
Hailsi. Google handles the sign-in under its own privacy policy.

Why
To run your Community account: downloads, likes, reports and blocks.

When you publish a world

What's sent
The world and everything in it (its text, maps, monsters, characters and any pictures you uploaded) with your creator name.

Who gets it
Hailsi, then everyone in Community once it's approved.

Why
To check it and share it, as you asked.

When you buy something

What's sent
Payment goes through Google Play; we never see your card details. Google sends us a purchase record (what was bought, when, and a purchase token). We keep it with a random ID made by the Game, plus your gem balance and spending total.

Who gets it
Hailsi and Google.

Why
To unlock what you bought, keep gems working across reinstalls, refund or take back a purchase when Google tells us to, and prevent fraud.

Checking published worlds. Before a world goes public, it passes automated checks, then a review by an AI moderation model, then a review by a person on the Hailsi team. The AI model runs on our servers or at a service provider whose contract bars it from using what we send for its own purposes, including training.

What other players can see: your creator name and mark, your published worlds, how long you've made worlds, and your worlds' plays, likes and any Developer's Choice. They can't see your reports, your blocks, your Google account, or anything on your phone.

3. What we don't do

4. Who else handles your information

5. How long we keep it

6. Your choices and rights

US state privacy laws. Several US states give residents rights to know, correct, delete and opt out. Most of these laws don't yet apply to a company of our size, but we offer the same rights to everyone who asks. We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't process sensitive information to infer things about you.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We don't track you across apps or websites, so there's nothing for these signals to switch off.

7. Delete your Community account

In the Game: Settings → Account → Delete my account.

Without the Game: email support@hailsi.com with the subject "Delete my Community account" and your creator name. You don't need the Game installed: we'll send you a link where you sign in with the Google account you used for Community, to show it's yours, and then delete the account within 30 days.

What's deleted: your creator profile (creator name, mark, plays and likes), your published worlds (taken down from Community), your blocks, and the link to your Google account.

What's kept: purchase records we need for refunds, fraud prevention and tax (see section 5); a short record of takedowns, for 3 years, so bans can be enforced; and the reports you made, kept without your name or account so we can still act on them.

Not touched: your saves and worlds on your phone, and your purchases, which stay with Google Play. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription: cancel that in Google Play.

8. Children

The Game is rated Teen and is meant for players 13 and over. It isn't directed at children under 13.

9. Security

Everything the Game sends goes over encrypted connections. We keep as little as we can, limit who on our team can see it, and use our providers' security tools. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts you at risk, we'll tell you and the regulators as the law requires.

10. Where your information is

Hailsi is in the United States, and our servers and providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When you use Community or send a report, your information goes to the United States.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what leaves your phone, we'll tell you in the Game before it takes effect.
